Sarah, my new muse

How fun was it to have Sarah walk into the door. A free people ad waiting to happen. She is a natural in front of the camera. I would think of a way I would like her to move and before I would have a chance to tell it to her, she had already done it. I got so carried away that we ended up photographing in a lot more settings/outfits than I had originally intended. Perhaps it is because Sarah is a photographer herself that this felt so easy.

Photographing Melissa

I had a fabulous time working with Melissa. She was quite shy and rather self conscious. After seeing a few of the images in the camera she started to relax and have fun with the shoot. She is such a natural beauty it was very easy to get good pictures of her. Thanks Melissa.

Photo Shoot with Katie

What a fun day we had! Katie was great to photograph and we were able to use the Recherché studio for part of the shoot. My favorite aspects of Katie were her red hair and freckles and the slightly shy way she had of addressing the camera. We plugged in her ipod and created the mood to music by "A Tribe Called Quest". I loved working with Katie to figure out how her personality might come out in the pictures we were trying to create. The photos on the train tracks revealed a part of the trueness of her that we didn't see until those few moments of both of us jumping with a bit of fear while we were lying on the train tracks because we thought her sister said a train was coming. I see her looking back from the journey she has already travelled, acknowlegding it, and ready to move forward to university and a change in everything she has known up until now.

Enjoy! And thank you Katie.
